Piero Casadio, founder and president of Specialty Surface Grinding, began his manufacturing career in Florence - Rifredi, Italy, in 1943 at age fourteen. After working in the same grinding factory in Italy for nineteen years, Piero and his wife, Ione, came to the USA looking for opportunity and a new beginning. They found it in Los Angeles, California, where Piero started work at Blanchard Masters as an operator.
